Amrita Vidyalayam, Kozhikode, celebrated Gita Jayanthi Day with devotion and enthusiasm, highlighting the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. The programme began with a soulful prayer, followed by the lighting of the lamp, symbolising the removal of ignorance and the ushering in of knowledge and positivity.
This was followed by inspiring messages from the Principal and a motivational address by a teacher, both emphasising the relevance of the Gita in nurturing moral values, discipline, and inner strength among students.
The highlight of the event was the collective chanting of Chapter 16 of the Bhagavad Gita, where students recited the verses with clarity, devotion, and confidence, creating an atmosphere filled with spiritual energy.
A captivating tableau depicting Lord Krishna giving upadeśa to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra brought the essence of the Gita alive. The presentation beautifully portrayed the moment of divine guidance that has inspired generations.
This was followed by a graceful dance performance, adding a vibrant cultural touch to the celebration.
The programme concluded with the reverent Gita Arati, after which prasadam was distributed to all, marking the end of a spiritually enriching event.
