Amrita Vidyalayam, Manjeri observed Hiroshima Day on 6th August 2026 with a solemn and thought-provoking special assembly dedicated to remembering the tragic consequences of war and the enduring need for peace. The programme began with an insightful speech highlighting the significance of the day, followed by an enlightening address by Indu Ma’am, Head of the Social Science Department, who sensitised students to the devastating impact of nuclear disasters and the far-reaching consequences of violence.
Adding a creative dimension to the observance, students from all the houses presented thoughtfully designed posters conveying powerful messages of peace, unity, harmony, and hope. The meaningful presentations encouraged young minds to reflect upon the value of human life and the importance of building a world where compassion and peace prevail over conflict.
