Amrita Vidyalayam joyfully celebrated Amma’s 72nd birthday with great devotion and enthusiasm. The students of Standard VIII presented a beautiful drama titled “Amma’s Work for Women Empowerment.” The skit highlighted Amma’s tireless efforts to uplift women and make them self-reliant through various humanitarian activities. It inspired everyone to follow Amma’s path of compassion, service, and love for humanity.

Amma has always promoted women’s empowerment through initiatives like the Amrita SREE Programme, which was launched in 2006. This program provides vocational training, microloans, insurance, and savings facilities to women, helping them become financially independent. It also supports start-up capital and encourages gender equality in society.
