Amrita Vidyalayam, Tenkasi, the 22nd branch of the Amrita Vidyalayam group, was inaugurated with great grandeur on 06 June 2025. Along with academic excellence, Amrita Educational Institutions are committed to imparting moral values and holistic education, inspired by the vision and teachings of Amma.

The inaugural function commenced auspiciously with Amma's Dhyana Sloka, followed by the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The Principal, Sri B. Balavelmurugan, delivered the welcome address, warmly greeting the distinguished guests and gathering. Swami Ramakrishnananda Puri delivered the benedictory address, highlighting Amma's invaluable contributions to the field of education and her vision of nurturing children with knowledge, values, and compassion.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Swamini Bhakti Priyamrita Prana, Correspondent of Amrita Vidyalayam Schools, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry; Brahmachari Mathru Krupamrita Chaitanya; Brahmachari Sivathma Chaitanya; Brahmacharini Medhamrita Chaitanya; Brahmacharini Smaranamrita Chaitanya; and Sri Muralidharan, Director of Education, Amrita Vidyalayam Schools, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. They conveyed their blessings and extended their best wishes for the successful journey of the institution.

The occasion was further honoured by the presence of Tenkasi MLA Sri Palani Nadar, Kadayanallur MLA Sri Krishnamurali, Ayikudi Town Panchayat President Sri Sundararajan, and Tenkasi District Panchayat Vice President Sri Udhaya Krishnan, who offered their felicitations and conveyed their best wishes.

Sri Anandan Ayyasamy, Founder of Voice of Tenkasi, delivered a special address, appreciating the establishment of the institution and extending his heartfelt wishes for its growth and success.

The programme concluded with the National Anthem, marking the beginning of a new chapter in providing value-based, holistic education to the students of Tenkasi and its surrounding regions.
