On 23rd July 2025, Amrita Vidyalayam Thalassery hosted the Karkkidaka Food Fest with great enthusiasm to promote the traditional and medicinal food culture of Kerala. Students, guided by teachers and parents, showcased a wide variety of seasonal dishes including Karkkidaka Kanji, Pathila Thoran, and other Ayurvedic recipes prepared with indigenous herbs and leaves.

The event aimed at educating young minds on the health benefits of these age-old recipes traditionally consumed during the monsoon season. The colorful display and the active participation of students across all grades made the event both enriching and enjoyable. The Food Fest successfully blended culture, health, and learning—leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
