In the school assembly, the 150th year of our National Song Vande Mataram was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The song, written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1876 in Bengali, became a source of inspiration during India’s freedom struggle and was officially recognized as the National Song of India in 1950. To mark this special occasion, students of Std. VII presented a soulful rendition of Vande Mataram that filled the atmosphere with devotion and pride. Seema Miss explained the meaning and importance of the song, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and the deep love we must always hold for our Motherland.
