On June 26, 2025, Amrita Vidyalaya Edapally commemorated the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with the theme "Say No to Drugs". As part of the celebrations, two competitions were conducted: poster making and slogan writing. These competitions were held in two categories: Category 1 for classes VI to VIII and Category 2 for classes IX to XII. Several students participated in the competitions, showcasing their creativity and awareness about the issue.

During the school assembly, Ms. Gayathri Jayaraj of standard 9A delivered a speech highlighting the significance of the day and the importance of staying away from drugs. The competitions and the assembly aimed to raise awareness about the devastating impact of drug abuse and promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle among students. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the poster-making and slogan-writing competitions, encouraging and recognizing their talents and efforts. Overall, the event was a success, with students of Amrita Vidyalaya actively participating and learning about the importance of saying no to drugs.
