Date: 2025-06-21

On June 21, Amrita Vidyalayam School in Mangalore joyfully celebrated the International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm and participation from both students and staff.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Shri Kushalappa Gowda, a renowned Yoga Therapist and the school’s own yoga trainer. The event was presided over by the school correspondent, Sampoojya Swamini Mangalamrita Prana. In her inspiring Presidential address, she highlighted the transformative power of yoga, drawing a beautiful analogy: just as ordinary gold is shaped into exquisite ornaments, yoga refines and elevates our lives.
As part of the celebration, students of classes 8, 9, and 10 actively participated in a practical yoga session under the guidance of the yoga teacher. For the younger students, from classes 1 to 8, a range of engaging activities were organized, including essay writing, drawing, and quiz competitions focused on the significance and benefits of yoga.
The event was graced by the presence of the School Administration Officer, Mrs. Deepa Manoj, Principal Mrs. Akshatha Shenoy, and all teaching and non-teaching staff, making the day a memorable and meaningful experience for the entire school community.
