
Introduction
Our school celebrated Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and devotion on September 12, 2025. The kindergarten students created a 'Vrindavan' setting and dressed up as characters from Lord Krishna's life, while the Vidyalayam students participated in various activities, including a heartfelt message, dance performances, and bhajan singing.
Content
The kindergarten students:
- Created a 'Vrindavan' setting and dressed up as Little Krishna, Radha, and other characters
- Adorned Lord Krishna's idol with garlands, offered fruits, and sang bhajans at the Brahmasthanam Temple
- Participated in 'Aarathi', distribution of 'Prasadam', and a fun-filled 'Uriyadi' activity
The Vidyalayam students:
- Heard a heartfelt message on Lord Krishna's birth from Sreenandha of Class 11
- Enjoyed a mesmerizing Radha-Krishna dance performance set to Adharv's live flute music from Class 8
- Pranaya from Class 4 and Vaishnavi from Class 3 stole the show as Krishna and Radha, respectively
Conclusion
The Janmashtami celebration was a grand success, with all students actively participating and showcasing their talents. The event helped students understand the significance of the festival and appreciate India's rich cultural heritage.
