Amrita Vidyalayam, Pathanamthitta observed National Doctor’s Day today, Tuesday, 1st July 2026, to honour the dedicated service of doctors to humanity.

The celebration was made even more special as the school welcomed Dr. Sreerag Ashok, MD, Consultant Psychiatrist at Josco Hospital, Pandalam and Unity Multi-Speciality Clinic, Omalloor — a distinguished alumnus of Amrita Vidyalayam — as the Chief Guest.

The programme began with a welcome address by Vice Principal Mrs. Sumangala Haridas, who highlighted the vital role of doctors and appreciated their compassion and selfless service.

Principal ma’am felicitated Dr. Sreerag Ashok with a token of appreciation for his remarkable contribution to the medical field. In his inspiring address, Dr. Sreerag emphasized the importance of physical and mental well-being and encouraged students to adopt healthy habits. His journey from an Amritian student to a successful medical professional deeply motivated everyone present.

The celebration concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Kumari Anvitha R. Lal, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, management, Principal, Vice Principal, staff, students, and all who made the event successful.

It was a proud and meaningful tribute to doctors, made memorable by honouring one of our own alumni.
