National Mathematics Day was celebrated in our school on 22 December to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. As part of the programme, Shruthi Jayakrishnan of Class IX A delivered a speech highlighting the importance of National Mathematics Day and the valuable contributions of Srinivasa Ramanujan. The speech was informative and inspiring.
To mark the occasion, two competitions were conducted for the students: drawing the portrait of Srinivasa Ramanujan and a mathematical patterns drawing competition. Students participated enthusiastically and showcased their creativity through their drawings.
The celebration helped students understand the importance of mathematics and encouraged greater interest in the subject. The programme was meaningful and added value to the observance of National Mathematics Day.
