On the occasion of National Handloom Day, students and teachers of Amritavidyalayam, Thalassery, visited local weavers to witness the art of handloom weaving.

Amritavidyalayam, Thalassery, observed Quit India Movement Day with great patriotic fervour. The programme began with a prayer, followed by a brief speech on the significance of the movement and its role in India’s struggle for independence.
As part of National Handloom Day, various programs were organized at Amrita Vidyalaya, Kollam on 7th August 2025. The children were made aware of the need to celebrate Handloom Day.
