Quit India Day was observed at Amrita Vidyalayam Changanassery on 8th August 2025 to commemorate the anniversary of the Quit India Movement launched by Mahatma Gandhi in 1942. The programme reminded students of the courage and sacrifices made by freedom fighters in India’s struggle for independence.
Students delivered inspiring speeches highlighting the significance of the movement and its call for “Do or Die” in the fight against British rule. Charts and posters prepared by the students depicted key leaders and events of the movement, creating awareness about its historical importance.
Ms. Sritha P. S., Social Science faculty, spoke on the occasion and encouraged the students to uphold the values of patriotism, unity, and truth in their lives. The programme concluded with the pledge to contribute responsibly towards the nation’s progress.
