Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated World Environment Day with a series of meaningful activities that highlighted the importance of protecting our planet. The day began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony during the morning assembly, followed by the planting of saplings. A heartfelt speech and a soulful song set the tone for the celebration, while a thought-provoking dance drama created awareness about environmental conservation.
Students from Grades 1 to 10 actively participated in various competitions such as poster making, drawing, collage work, and crafting items from best out of waste. The entire staff dressed in shades of green, symbolizing their support and solidarity for a cleaner, greener Earth.
From awareness to action – every step matters .
As part of the World Environment Day celebration, students of Grades 9 and 10 of Amrita Vidyalayam undertook a rally to Nagemane open ground, where a Mango Mela was underway. There, they performed a thought-provoking skit that highlighted the dangers of pollution and its connection to health issues like diabetes.
The event concluded with a cleanliness drive under the Amala Bharatam campaign, reinforcing their commitment to environmental and social responsibility
