Reading Day was celebrated at our school to commemorate the birth anniversary of Shri P.N. Panicker, known as the father of the Library Movement in Kerala. The day aimed to instill the habit of reading among students and promote lifelong learning. A brief speech highlighting the importance of reading was delivered in the morning assembly, followed by a reading day procession, Reading Day message, pledge taking, action songs by little ones, poem recitation etc were conducted on the same day. As part of Reading week, we have conducted a reading competition, poster competition, cover design competition, book review etc.
Breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation were also included to promote relaxation and mindfulness.The celebration highlighted the significance of incorporating yoga into our daily lives for better health, concentration, and emotional balance.
