A Ramayana Quiz was successfully conducted under the guidance of Br Vedavedyamrita Chaitanya. The event was organized into two sections: Category III in the morning and Category II in the afternoon. The house-wise competition fostered teamwork and healthy rivalry among the students.

The results are as follows:

Category III: Anandamayi House secured the first position.
Category II: Chinmayi House emerged as the winner.
The quiz saw enthusiastic participation, with students answering questions with great interest and zeal. It was truly a captivating experience for all involved!

We celebrated Sreekrishna Jayanthi at Amrita Vidyalayam, Kanhangad, with great enthusiasm and devotion. Students from KG to 2nd grade participated in a series of vibrant and colourful programs, bringing the spirit of the festival to life.

The highlights of the celebration were:

A captivating Gopika dance performance by students of Grades 1 and 2.
KG students impressed everyone with three different Krishna Gopika dances, showcasing graceful movements.
The traditional “Uriyadi” festivities added excitement to the day, with students and staff actively participating.

It was a joyous occasion that reflected the school’s deep cultural values and spirit of togetherness.

Amrita Vidyalayam, Kanhangad, celebrated Onam with great enthusiasm. The festivities began with an inter-house pookkalam competition, where the Chinmayi house claimed victory, securing the first position.

Students showcased their talents through a variety of cultural activities:

• KG classes performed the traditional Thiruvathira and other dance forms.
• Class 1 organized a ball-passing game.
• Classes 2 and 3 engaged in a lively musical chair competition.
• Class 4 enjoyed a lemon-and-spoon race.
• Class 5 participated in a balloon-burst game.
• Classes 8, 9, and 10 presented vibrant group dances.

To further enhance the festivities, each class shared the traditional Onasadhya meal with their teachers.

The celebrations concluded with an exciting tug-of-war, fostering teamwork and camaraderie among the students.

Milk day was celebrated with great excitement at the Pre_Primary section on 18’thJune 25.Students were asked to come dressed in cream colour and teachers were dressed up in similar colours too.

To raise awareness about the importance of Milk and dairy products in our daily lives Mrs.Preetha gave a small talk and showed them different milk products, which children brought from their home.They were also shown different pictures of milk products.They did an activity of making icecream with cotton.

To acknowledge the importance of milk as a universal food,children were told to share photos with cow and drinking milk at home. During the programme, the students sang a poem about milk with Mrs.Jayasree.At the end, children were happy tasting various dairy products like Payasam, Sweet Dish, Milk Shake etc which they brought from their homes.The Milk Day Celebration made the students feel the love and care given to the " Cow" in our society.

The school reopened after the summer break on June 4 with great enthusiasm and fresh energy. A special assembly was conducted by the Grade 10 students, marking a positive and spirited beginning to the new academic year.

The Vice Principal Mrs  Rejani  V V, addressed the students with a warm welcome, expressing joy in having them back. In her speech, she proudly highlighted the excellent results of the Class 10 board exams, applauding the hard work and dedication of the students and teachers alike.

The day also witnessed a divine start with Saraswathi Pooja performed by Br . Vedavedyamrita Chaithanyaji i(Incharge MAM Kasaragod) invoking the blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge. Swamiji shared his words of wisdom, inspiring everyone to move forward with sincerity, focus, and gratitude.

It was truly a meaningful beginning to the new academic journey.

The results showcase the academic excellence of our students with 82% distinction and 18% percentage  first class. Our highest achiever has scored a remarkable 97.4% result of hardwork, dedication and excellence . Amrita Vidyalayam, Kanhangad, celebrated the UKG Convocation Ceremony on March 25, 2025, marking a significant milestone for our young graduates. The event began with the sacred lamp lighting and prayer led by Br Vedavedyamrita Chaitanya followed by a welcome speech.

The ceremony was inaugurated by Mr. Sreekumar, Head of the Agriculture Department, Padannakkadi, who added dignity to the occasion. Swamiji's inspiring address motivated everyone, while speeches by Devanshi and Diya Lekshmi brought a special charm. 

The highlight of the ceremony was the conferment of certificates to our young graduates. A memorable photo session captured the joyous moments, and the event concluded with vibrant cultural performances.

This joyous celebration marked a memorable milestone for our little graduates, filling their hearts with pride and joy.

As part of the Ramayana Month celebration at Amrita Vidyalayam Kanhangad, our students from KG to 2nd grade brought the epic to life by dressing up as their favourite characters and reenacting their iconic roles. The children had a wonderful time and showcased their creativity and talent.
