The Annual Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and sportsman spirit on 29 August 2025 at Amrita Vidyalayam Senior Secondary School, Thuckalay. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Smt. Sumathi, P.E.T., Amrita Vidyalayam, Thoothukudi.

The programme began with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, followed by the hoisting of the school flag and an impressive march-past by the students, which reflected discipline, unity, and team spirit.

A variety of track and field events were conducted, providing students with opportunities to showcase their athletic talents, determination, and sportsmanship. The students participated with great enthusiasm, making the event lively and competitive.

Addressing the gathering, Smt. Sumathi delivered an inspiring speech about the legendary Indian hockey player Dhanraj Pillay, highlighting his dedication, leadership qualities, and remarkable contribution to Indian hockey. She encouraged the students to take inspiration from his journey and emphasized the importance of hard work, perseverance, discipline, and teamwork in both sports and life.

The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony and a heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving behind cherished memories of a day filled with energy, joy, and the true spirit of sportsmanship.
