The campus of Amrita Vidyalayam, Palakkad, blossomed with smiles, laughter, and excitement as the little stars of Pre-KG and LKG stepped into their classrooms for the new academic year. The reopening day was a delightful celebration filled with fun, warmth, and cherished traditions, making the children's first day at school truly memorable.
The young learners received a grand and cheerful welcome with gifts from their favourite cartoon characters, who greeted them with hugs, smiles, and playful interactions. The colourful atmosphere instantly eased their apprehensions and filled the campus with joy and enthusiasm.
To mark this auspicious beginning, the children were offered white sugar rock candy and raisins, symbolizing sweetness, prosperity, and happiness. The little ones were attracted by events like poem recitations, action songs, experience-sharing sessions, and interactive activities that encouraged confidence, communication, and joyful learning.
A significant highlight of the day was the traditional Vidyarambham-inspired writing ceremony, where teachers lovingly guided the children to write on a bed of rice. This sacred and time-honoured ritual symbolized the auspicious beginning of learning and knowledge. It was a touching moment for both parents and children as they witnessed the first steps of the young learners into the world of education.
Following the ceremony, prasadam was distributed to all parents and children, adding a spiritual and cultural essence to the celebration. The occasion beautifully blended tradition, values, and modern learning, creating a meaningful start to the academic year.
The reopening day was not just the beginning of school but the commencement of a wonderful journey filled with discovery, friendship, learning, and growth. With hearts full of excitement and dreams waiting to unfold, the tiny learners embarked on a path that promises knowledge, values, and endless possibilities.
"May every little step taken today blossom into a future filled with wisdom, joy, and success."
