The Investiture Ceremony of Amrita Vidyalayam, Tanur was held on 24th June 2026 with great dignity and enthusiasm. The ceremony marked the formal induction of the newly elected Student Parliament, House Captains, Vice Captains, Club Leaders, and other student office bearers for the academic year 2026–27.
The elected student leaders took the oath of office, pledging to uphold the values of discipline, responsibility, integrity, and service. The badges and sashes were ceremoniously presented, symbolizing the trust and confidence placed in them by the school community.
The Head Boy, Head Girl, Assistant Head Boy, and Assistant Head Girl, along with the House Captains and Vice Captains, accepted their responsibilities with pride and determination. Guided by their House In-Charges and teachers, they are committed to leading their teams towards excellence in academics, co-curricular activities, leadership, and service.

Amrita Vidyalayam, Tanur proudly organized the TOOFAN Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign with the noble aim of creating awareness among students and the community about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy and value-based life. The programme was inaugurated by MLA Shri Navas and was graced by Municipal Chairperson Smt. Nazla Basheer, Ward Councillor Shri Baby Shankar, and PTA Parent Member Shri Muraleedharan.

The day began with the morning assembly followed by Class Archana, seeking the divine blessings of Amma. Prasad was distributed to all students, and a peaceful meditation session helped prepare them for the year ahead.
A special welcome was extended to the UKG students with smiley sticks, making their first day joyful and memorable. The Principal warmly welcomed the staff and students and shared inspiring words and best wishes for a successful academic year.
The reopening day concluded with optimism, unity, and enthusiasm, setting the tone for a year filled with learning, values, and achievements. May the academic year 2026-27 bring excellence, growth, and memorable experiences to every member of the Amrita family.

The KG Reopening Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm, marking a memorable beginning to the academic year for our little learners. The campus was filled with excitement as the children arrived and were warmly welcomed with colorful balloons.
A traditional Arathi ceremony was conducted for each child at the beautifully decorated selfie corner, making them feel special and cherished on their first day of school.
The inaugural function was graced by the Principal of Bhavans Nadakkavu as the chief guest. She delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking talk on parenting, family values, and the importance of nurturing children with love, discipline, and moral values. Her words were highly appreciated by the parents and staff.
The initiation ceremony for the new entrants was conducted with devotion and warmth. As part of our green initiative, “Muttathoru Poonthoppu, Athiloru Kilikkoodu,” saplings were distributed to all children to encourage environmental awareness and a love for nature from an early age. Laddu sweets were also distributed, adding sweetness to the joyous occasion.

We were privileged to welcome Ms. Aparna Sudheer, Assistant Agricultural Officer, Tirurangadi, as the Chief Guest. She inaugurated the Kaushal Bodh and Kaushal Vikas programmes and inspired the students with her valuable thoughts on caring for nature and adopting eco-friendly practices.
To mark the occasion, the Chief Guest planted a mango sapling on the school campus, symbolising growth, responsibility, and our commitment to a greener future.
Students enthusiastically participated in various competitions and activities. Classes 1 to 5 showcased their creativity through a drawing competition, while Classes 6 to 8 expressed their environmental concerns and ideas through a poster-making competition.
Students from Classes 5 to 10 actively took part in the celebrations, making the event vibrant and memorable.
