Sand Day was celebrated on 17th June 2026 for the students of Pre-KG, LKG, and UKG with great enthusiasm and excitement. The celebration aimed to enhance sensory development, creativity, imagination, and fine motor skills among the children through fun-filled sand-based activities.
Various engaging activities such as Sand Art, Sand Play, Treasure Hunt, and Drawing in the Sand were conducted. The children actively participated in all the activities and thoroughly enjoyed exploring different textures and creating imaginative designs.
The Treasure Hunt activity added excitement and encouraged observation skills, while Sand Art and Drawing in the Sand helped develop creativity and hand-eye coordination. The children enthusiastically explored, built, and created using sand, making the learning experience both enjoyable and meaningful.

The Investiture Ceremony of Amrita Vidyalayam, Thalassery, was held with great dignity and enthusiasm, marking the formal installation of the newly elected Student Council for the academic year.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by prayers and a warm welcome to the dignitaries. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Sri Abhishek, Sub Inspector of Police, New Mahe Police Station, whose presence added significance to the event.
The newly elected student leaders were formally invested with badges and sashes, symbolizing the responsibilities and trust bestowed upon them. The School Pupil Leader, Assistant School Pupil Leaders, House Captains, Vice Captains, Sports Captains, and other council members took the oath of office, pledging to uphold the values of discipline, integrity, and service.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of leadership, responsibility, and teamwork. He encouraged the students to lead by example and contribute positively to the school community. The Principal also congratulated the council members and inspired them to perform their duties with sincerity and dedication.

The programme aimed to foster a love for reading and highlight the importance of books in shaping young minds.
The celebration was graced by renowned author Sri T. K. Damodaran as the chief guest. He addressed the students on the value of reading and encouraged them to develop reading habits that enrich knowledge, creativity, and character.
The programme began with prayers and a welcome address, followed by an introduction to the significance of Reading Day and the contributions of P. N. Panicker. Students actively participated in various activities such as reading sessions, book reviews, speeches, and literary presentations, showcasing their passion for books and literature.
The chief guest interacted with the students and shared inspiring experiences from his literary journey. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving everyone motivated to embrace the message “Read and Grow.”

Through speeches , role plays , and poster presentations ️, students expressed their appreciation for the selfless service of doctors. Distinguished alumni Dr. Amithab M. Nambiar and Dr. Rinshil R. C. graced the occasion and inspired the gathering with their presence. The celebration was a heartfelt tribute to the healers whose compassion, dedication, and service continue to touch countless lives

World Chocolate Day was joyfully celebrated at Amrita Vidyalayam, Thalassery. Our KG children, dressed in chocolate-coloured outfits, explored different varieties of chocolates and learned about the journey of cocoa beans to chocolate. They also discovered the uses and benefits of cocoa through a fun and interactive session. The celebration was a perfect blend of learning, curiosity, and sweet memories.
"Childhood is sweetest when every lesson is wrapped in wonder... and a little chocolate."

The International Day Against Drug Abuse was observed in our school in association with the New Mahe Police Station. A rally was conducted, and students carried posters and placards with anti-drug messages. An awareness programme was held to educate students about the harmful effects of drugs.
Students also presented a mime on drug abuse and took a pledge against drug abuse, promising to lead a healthy and drug-free life. The programme inspired everyone to work towards a better and safer society.

The school reopened on 03 June 2026 with enthusiasm, joy, and devotion as students from UKG to Class XII returned to campus for the new academic year. The day began with a warm and traditional welcome, creating a positive and inspiring atmosphere for learning.
The newly admitted students were given a special welcome by the senior students of the school through Arathi, making them feel cherished and a part of the Amrita family from their very first day.
To seek Amma's divine blessings for a successful and value-based academic journey, students of Classes III to V participated in a special Archana. The prayerful gathering instilled devotion, positivity, and gratitude among the students.
The programme concluded with the distribution of Prasadam to all students and staff members.

Mr. Vinay Thaha, Bicycle Technician and a member of the Thalassery Cycling Club (TCC) and Kannur Cycling Club (KCC), was the resource person for the programme.
During the session, he provided practical guidance on the basic operation and maintenance of bicycles. The students learned about tyre inflation, brake checking and adjustment, chain lubrication, handlebar alignment, and other essential maintenance procedures. He also emphasized the importance of regular bicycle maintenance for safety, efficiency, and longevity.
The interactive demonstration helped students gain hands-on knowledge and encouraged them to use bicycles responsibly while promoting an eco-friendly mode of transportation.
The programme was informative and well received by the students.

World Environment Day was observed in our school on 5th June 2026 with great enthusiasm and environmental awareness. A special assembly was conducted by the students of Classes 1 and 2 to mark the occasion.
As part of the programme, a speech highlighting the importance of protecting nature and preserving the environment was delivered by a student of Class 3. A musical dance performance by the students of Class 2 on the song “ഒരു തൈ നടാം” added colour and meaning to the celebration.
A special environmental oath was led by the students of Classes 4 and 5, encouraging everyone to protect and care for nature. An activity titled “പ്രകൃതിക്കൊരു കൈത്താങ്ങ്” was also conducted by the students of Class 3 to promote environmental responsibility among students.
To make the day more meaningful, the students of Class 6 planted saplings along with the Vice Principal, spreading the message of a greener and healthier future.
