On 1st July our institution observed National Doctor's Day with a series of activities to promote appreciation and enthusiasm for the medical profession among students. We conducted the following activities in the school:
1. Honoring Doctor Parents and Alumni: We honored the parents of four students who are doctors and a former student who is now a doctor, recognizing their contributions to the medical field.
2. Future Physicians Clinic: Students from class 4 and 5 recreated a doctor's clinic, where they acted as doctors and treated their fellow students from lower classes as patients.
3.Honoring Nearby Hospital Doctors: Our 9th standard students made thanksgiving cards and presented rose flowers to the doctors at the nearby hospital, expressing gratitude for their service.
Our KG and Pre-KG students joyfully celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights, with an orange-themed day.
Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21st with great enthusiasm, graced by chief guest Santhosh Kumar Sir, Chief Instructor of Black Dragon Martial Arts Academy.
Students (Class 5-12) participated in a yoga session led by Mrs. Leeshma Ma'am, with Abhinanda (Class X A) assisting. They learned various asanas and breathing techniques promoting physical and mental well-being.
In the evening, our dedicated teachers and Principal participated in a yoga session under the expert guidance of our yoga teacher, focusing on wellness and stress management.
The Literary Club inaugurated the National Reading Day celebrations, inviting DYSP Sri. Surendran Mangatt as Chief Guest. A renowned author of 13 books, including 8 novels and 5 short story collections, he has also written for films and received the Badge of Honour for excellence in Criminal Investigation.
This grand inauguration set the tone for the week-long Reading Week celebrations, which will be conducted by the English, Malayalam, Hindi, and Sanskrit departments.
On June 18th, our school joyfully celebrated Milk Day! The children of Our Kindergarten wore elegant white dresses, symbolizing purity and simplicity. They brought an array of milk products as snacks, showcasing the versatility of milk in our diets.
The excitement continued as they brought white-coloured objects, adding a creative touch to the event. After relishing the delicious snacks, we organized a fun-filled trip to a nearby farm.
At the farm, the children had an enriching experience, interacting with cows and calves. They fed the calves and affectionately patted them on the head, fostering a sense of compassion and connection with nature. The children's faces lit up with joy, making the event truly unforgettable.
The Milk Day celebration was a wonderful experience for our students, teaching them valuable lessons about nature, nutrition, and kindness.

The highlight of the event was the inauguration of the Amrita Vegetable Gardening program for the academic year 2025-26, graced by Retd. Judge Dr. P N Vijayakumar Sir. Dr. Vijayakumar Sir participated in a seed ball preparation activity with students, emphasizing the importance of greening our environment.
Class 7 students organized an impressive exhibition showcasing the medicinal properties of various kitchen ingredients.
Students from Classes 1 to 9 participated in a creative book binding activity, demonstrating their creativity and resourcefulness.
Dr. Vijayakumar Sir delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the significance of environmental protection and conservation. A poem recitation from his book "Souhardham" added depth to the event.
Our Kindergarten joyfully reopened on Monday, June 9th, welcoming our little Super Stars with open arms . The excitement was palpable as students, parents, and teachers gathered to kick-start the new session.
The classrooms were transformed into vibrant spaces with colourful displays, and a photo booth was set up in the corridor filled with balloons , creating a festive atmosphere. To make the day even more special, two senior students dressed as Simba and Mickey Mouse showered flowers on our new students, spreading joy and cheer.
This was followed by a traditional Chandan and Kumkum ceremony by Class IX students, adding a touch of cultural heritage to the event. The kids then headed to their classrooms, where they participated in various fun activities designed to spark their creativity and curiosity.
To make the day truly unforgettable, our little stars received gifts and sweets, beaming with happiness. The reopening ceremony marked a wonderful start to the new session, filled with promise and possibility.
The school welcomed students back to campus for the new academic session 2025-26, marking a fresh start for students from 1st to 12th standard. As students arrived with their parents, a warm welcome was extended, setting a positive tone for the year ahead.
Our 12th standard students graciously applied a traditional Chandan tilak to the new students, symbolizing a warm welcome and their integration into the school community.
The campus buzzed with excitement as students reunited with peers and teachers, looking forward to a productive academic year. With renewed enthusiasm and energy, the school community embarked on a new journey, promising a year of growth, learning, and achievement.
