Starting in the very year 1999, the Amrita Vidyalayam got shifted to the present site in 2001.Along with the KG upgradation was carried out introducing an upper - grade class every year. Now our school is functioning in a pleasant quite ambience with starting from Pre -KG to class 12th Science, Commerce and Humanities Stream. Whats New

On August 15th, we celebrated Independence Day with great fervor, honored by the presence of our distinguished guests, Captain Sri Rajeev Sir and Shiji Inasu Ma'am, wife of a Kargil hero. They received a warm welcome, accompanied by a band and were presented with badges.
Our students marched past, representing four houses and gave a salute to the honorable chief guests, symbolizing the spirit of freedom and independence. The march was led by the Head Boy and Head Girl, who carried the school flag with pride.
The flag-hoisting ceremony was led by our esteemed Principal Ma'am, Captain Sri Rajeev Sir, Shiji Inasu Ma'am, Academic Advisor Bhavanima, Vice Principal Shynima, Head Boy, and Head Girl. Captain Rajeev Sir delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of patriotism and and national pride.
Our Kindergarten students presented a program, "Unity in Diversity," showcasing their talents through songs, dances, and skits. Aarushi Ratheesh from UKG delivered an enthusiastic speech on the significance of Independence Day. Young children from grades 1-5 demonstrated their talents through a march, drill, and patriotic speeches in three languages - Malayalam, Hindi, and English. Vedhaswagan from 6th standard delivered a speech in Malayalam, while Anirudh from the 12th standard presented in Hindi, and Sreeram Murali delivered an English speech.
Students from grades 1-2 performed a patriotic dance, while those from grades 3-6 participated in an aerobic dance and introduced freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Subhash Chandra Bose etc. A house-wise patriotic song competition was also held, while students from grades 8 to 12 executed a pyramid display representing Wayanad. The event was truly exceptional, with students in grades 8-12 also engaging in skipping activities. All students and parents participated in the distribution of sweets.
The event concluded with a symbolic release of a pigeon, representing freedom, hope, and peace, by our Principal, vice Principal Shynima, Academic Adviser Bhavanima, Captain Rajeev Sir, and Shiji Ma'am. This was followed by a sweet distribution ceremony, where all students and parents participated.
To commemorate this important day, students were encouraged to post articles and photographs on their bulletin boards. They responded with great enthusiasm, creating informative and engaging displays that highlighted the significance of Independence.

We celebrated Janmashtami on August 23rd, Friday, with great enthusiasm and fervor for classes KG to 2nd. The students dressed up in colorful attires, depicting Lord Krishna, Radha, and Gopas, setting the tone for a vibrant celebration.
The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp and a heartfelt prayer, followed by an enlightening speech by Arya Ma'am from the English Department. She shared valuable insights about Lord Krishna's life and teachings, captivating the young audience.
A majestic procession ensued, where the students and teachers proceeded to our Brahmasthanam Temple, filled with joy and devotion. Upon arrival, the kids delighted everyone with their energetic dance performances, accompanied by their teachers.
The highlight of the celebration was the 'Uriyadi' game, which thrilled the children and left them beaming with excitement. To conclude, we distributed 'Prasadam' (Laddoo) among the students, spreading sweetness and joy.

On 26th june our institution observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse with a series of activities aimed at raising awareness and promoting a drug-free community
The event began with a solemn oath-taking ceremony, where a senior police officer Sri preeth sir administered a pledge to students and staff, encouraging them to commit to a drug-free life. This solemn promise served as a powerful reminder of the importance of leading a healthy and drug-free community

2. Future Physicians Clinic: Students from class 4 and 5 recreated a doctor's clinic, where they acted as doctors and treated their fellow students from lower classes as patients.
3.Honoring Nearby Hospital Doctors: Our 9th standard students made thanksgiving cards and presented rose flowers to the doctors at the nearby hospital, expressing gratitude for their service.

Our KG and Pre-KG students joyfully celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights, with an orange-themed day.

Miss Ardra Manoj from the Malayalam Department delivered an inspiring introduction speech, setting the tone for the Kerala Piravi celebration. She emphasized the significance of Kerala's formation and its rich cultural heritage.

Miss Ardra Manoj from the Malayalam Department delivered an inspiring introduction speech, setting the tone for the Kerala Piravi celebration. She emphasized the significance of Kerala's formation and its rich cultural heritage.
The students of Classes 8, 9, and 4 presented a captivating Nrithavishkaram performance, showcasing their talent and creativity. The energetic and vibrant show was a testament to the students' dedication and enthusiasm.
The vibrant costumes and accessories added to the cultural richness of the performance, with students adorned in traditional Kerala attire, including kasavu sarees and mundu.

Our school commemorated Gandhi Jayanti with a series of engaging activities, fostering a spirit of community service and environmental consciousness.

1. _Inspiring Speech_: Adi Sankar (12th standard) delivered a thought-provoking speech during the assembly.
2. _Cleanliness Drive_: On October 1st, our 11th and 12th standard students spearheaded a cleanliness initiative at the Brahmastana Temple premises and adjacent road. They removed waste, sorted and deposited it properly, and created a "SELFIE POINT" by clearing weeds and dry leaves.
3. _Sapling Planting_: Under the guidance of our Principal and teachers, 11th and 12th standard students planted a mango sapling, named 'PRAKRITI MA', in the temple premises.
4. _Painting Competition_: The UKG department organized a painting contest, "MY CLEAN & GREEN BHARAT, MY PRIDE !", where 15 students participated, showcasing their artistic talents.
5. _Swachhta Pledge_: On October 3rd, students, teachers, parents, Ayahs, and outsiders took the Swachhta Pledge together.
6. _Honoring Ayahs_: Students honored our school's sanitation workers (Ayahs) by smearing chandan and kumkum on their foreheads and offering rose flowers as a token of appreciation.
7. _Human Chain_: A human chain formation, comprising our Principal, teachers, students, parents, and outsiders, demonstrated our commitment to the Swachhata initiative.
8. _Quiz Competition_: The Social Studies department, led by Sreedevi Ma'am, organized a quiz contest for 11th and 12th standard students. Anandamayi House emerged as winners.

World Food Day was observed globally on October 16th, emphasizing the "Right to Food for a Better Life." Our school commemorated this significant day with an engaging activity, fostering awareness about healthy and nutritious food.
The 6th standard students enthusiastically participated in the event, bringing traditional, healthy, and nutritious food items. Under the guidance of Mrs. Remya Sandeep from the Science Department, the students displayed their culinary creations in the biology lab.
Our Principal, Ma'am, and Vice Principal Shynima, visited the lab, expressing excitement and admiration for the students' efforts. The aroma of the dishes captivated Ma'am's attention, prompting her to inquire about each food item's ingredients, nutritional value, and cultural significance.
Students confidently explained the importance of their chosen dishes, highlighting the essential nutrients and health benefits. Ma'am and Shynima sampled various delicacies, praising the students' presentation and culinary skills

On August 15th, we celebrated Independence Day with great fervor, honored by the presence of our distinguished guests, Captain Sri Rajeev Sir and Shiji Inasu Ma'am, wife of a Kargil hero. They received a warm welcome, accompanied by a band and were presented with badges.
Our students marched past, representing four houses and gave a salute to the honorable chief guests, symbolizing the spirit of freedom and independence. The march was led by the Head Boy and Head Girl, who carried the school flag with pride.
The flag-hoisting ceremony was led by our esteemed Principal Ma'am, Captain Sri Rajeev Sir, Shiji Inasu Ma'am, Academic Advisor Bhavanima, Vice Principal Shynima, Head Boy, and Head Girl. Captain Rajeev Sir delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of patriotism and and national pride.
Our Kindergarten students presented a program, "Unity in Diversity," showcasing their talents through songs, dances, and skits. Aarushi Ratheesh from UKG delivered an enthusiastic speech on the significance of Independence Day. Young children from grades 1-5 demonstrated their talents through a march, drill, and patriotic speeches in three languages - Malayalam, Hindi, and English. Vedhaswagan from 6th standard delivered a speech in Malayalam, while Anirudh from the 12th standard presented in Hindi, and Sreeram Murali delivered an English speech.
Students from grades 1-2 performed a patriotic dance, while those from grades 3-6 participated in an aerobic dance and introduced freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Subhash Chandra Bose etc. A house-wise patriotic song competition was also held, while students from grades 8 to 12 executed a pyramid display representing Wayanad. The event was truly exceptional, with students in grades 8-12 also engaging in skipping activities. All students and parents participated in the distribution of sweets.
The event concluded with a symbolic release of a pigeon, representing freedom, hope, and peace, by our Principal, vice Principal Shynima, Academic Adviser Bhavanima, Captain Rajeev Sir, and Shiji Ma'am. This was followed by a sweet distribution ceremony, where all students and parents participated.
To commemorate this important day, students were encouraged to post articles and photographs on their bulletin boards. They responded with great enthusiasm, creating informative and engaging displays that highlighted the significance of Independence.

We celebrated Janmashtami on August 23rd, Friday, with great enthusiasm and fervor for classes KG to 2nd. The students dressed up in colorful attires, depicting Lord Krishna, Radha, and Gopas, setting the tone for a vibrant celebration.
The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp and a heartfelt prayer, followed by an enlightening speech by Arya Ma'am from the English Department. She shared valuable insights about Lord Krishna's life and teachings, captivating the young audience.
A majestic procession ensued, where the students and teachers proceeded to our Brahmasthanam Temple, filled with joy and devotion. Upon arrival, the kids delighted everyone with their energetic dance performances, accompanied by their teachers.
The highlight of the celebration was the 'Uriyadi' game, which thrilled the children and left them beaming with excitement. To conclude, we distributed 'Prasadam' (Laddoo) among the students, spreading sweetness and joy.

On 26th june our institution observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse with a series of activities aimed at raising awareness and promoting a drug-free community
The event began with a solemn oath-taking ceremony, where a senior police officer Sri preeth sir administered a pledge to students and staff, encouraging them to commit to a drug-free life. This solemn promise served as a powerful reminder of the importance of leading a healthy and drug-free community
Preeth sir conducted an informative and engaging awareness session, educating participants about the dangers of drug abuse, its consequences on physical and mental health, and the legal implications of drug-related offenses. The officer also shared valuable insights and personal experiences, making the session both informative and interactive.
