The celebration of World Sanskrit Day was held on 19th August 2025 at Amrita Vidyalayam with great devotion and enthusiasm.

The programme began with an auspicious prayer, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp, seeking the blessings of the Almighty .Welcome speech delivered by the Sanskrit teacher.The Principal then addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech, highlighting the importance of Sanskrit in our culture and heritage.

The students presented a variety of performances, including a soulful recitation, an engaging conversation, a meaningful skit, a thought-provoking speech, and a graceful dance performance. Each item showcased the richness and beauty of the Sanskrit language.

Following the flag hoisting, a vibrant patriotic dance performance by our students added color and emotion to the event. Their graceful moves and expressions beautifully portrayed the spirit of unity and nationalism.

The highlight of the program was the delightful Fancy Dress Competition for our tiny tots from LKG, UKG, Class 1 and Class 2. Dressed as national heroes and freedom fighters, the little ones stole everyone's hearts. Their costumes, confidence, and short speeches truly made the event memorable.

To conclude the event on a joyful note, our esteemed guest sang a song, filling the atmosphere with emotion and pride.

Amrita Vidyalayam, Kozhikode, celebrated Diwali with great joy and enthusiasm on 21st October 2025. The celebration began with a prayer and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Our Principal Ma’am delivered an inspiring message highlighting the significance of Diwali and the values of light, goodness, and unity it represents.

Students presented vibrant dance performances related to Diwali, adding colour and energy to the event. The stage was beautifully decorated with diyas and rangoli, creating a festive atmosphere.

As part of the celebration, children brought orange-coloured sweets, which were displayed attractively to mark the theme of the day. A class-wise door decoration competition was also conducted for Grades 1 to 5, showcasing the creativity of both students and teachers. The children from KG to Grade 2 came dressed in traditional attire, adding charm and cultural touch to the celebration.

The celebration was filled with happiness, creativity, and festive spirit, spreading the true message of Diwali—victory of light over darkness and good over evil.

The day began on an auspicious note with the arrival of Sampoojya Swamiji Vivekamritananthapuri whose presence filled the campus with positive energy and blessings. Children participated in the Vidyarambham ceremony, marking the beautiful beginning of their learning journey.

This was followed by the chanting of Ashtothara and soulful bhajans, which created a divine and peaceful atmosphere. The celebration concluded with the Principal distributing special kits and prasadam to the students, spreading happiness and festive cheer all around.

Amma’s birthday was celebrated at the ashramam on 22 nd September2025 with great devotion and joy. The programme commenced with Amma’s Paduka Pooja and Ashtothram performed by Swamiji, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. This was followed by soulful bhajan led by Swamiji, filling the ashramam with divine vibrations. Parallelly, the students also offered their devotion through melodious bhajans.
The programme concluded with the distribution of prasada, marking the auspicious occasion with blessings and harmony. The entire celebration reflected love, faith, and gratitude towards Amma.

Mata Amritanandamayi Devi’s birthday, celebrated as Amrita Varsham 72, is not just an occasion of devotion but also a reminder to put Amma’s message of selfless service into practice. On this auspicious day, our institution reached out with love and care to those in need, embodying Amma’s ideal of “The hands that serve are holier than the lips that pray.” As part of the celebrations, we handed over essential items to Sevabharathi Balika Sadhanam, Moozhikkal, and also extended our support to the residents of the Girls’ Juvenile Home, NGO Quarters. The act of giving was carried out with deep gratitude, reflecting the values of compassion, empathy, and service to humanity that Amma tirelessly inspires in all.
